Skyrim Hood Clipping Fix: A Comprehensive Guide to Modding Your Game

Corrects keywords and inconsistent weights and value settings for Skyrim's clothing, jewelry, and clutter. Circlets can be worn with hoods, hooded robes have been replaced with separated hood & robe versions, and enchanted jewelry now scales based on quality. NPCs are attired in outfits that are appropriate to their position and background.

I'm not using any mods that alter children besides height adjust races, and I even only enabled wet and cold and the hoods still keep clipping with the children heads. The children heads are too big for the hood it seems, or the hoods are too small. Is there any way to fix this? maybe there is patch somewhere I don't know about?

skyrim hood clipping fix

Don't you have a patch already available from W&C's fomod installer ? It's supposed to be for other childrens, but you should try that if you see clipping, it's supposed to make hoods for childs a bit bigger IIRC.

I know that there is a mod fix for this, but I am playing on xbox 360. Has anyone ever had this problem with certain hairstyles clipping through helmets and hoods? I am a breton male, and wanted to know if this is only a problem with certain hairstyles? Whoch hairstyle will not cause this? I prefer long hair.

I don't know if you can speak/read English or not, but I never asked anybody to fix anything for me. I asked if anyone knew which hairstyles caused the clipping, and which hairstyles were safe. Also, there is plenty of control over it if the right hairstyle is chosen, and the ones which cause clipping are avoided.

The equip region is an item attribute in the client schema used to identify the region where an item is attached on a character model. The equip region attribute (denoted by the value name equip_region) is given to all Cosmetic items and some weapons, and its primary purpose is to prevent items in the same region from being equipped simultaneously. Equip regions were introduced to avoid visual clipping errors upon the addition of two usable 'misc' slots. This system was retained when the existing hat and miscellaneous slots were merged into three 'cosmetic' slots as a result of the December 20, 2013 Patch.

OK, so it seems like this is a problem with the shaders after a patch some time ago. After browsing several forums, it seems like the only solution (someone says it's permanent and someone says it's temporary) is to put the hood on a mannequin in a house, leave the house and restart you game. When you go back in it should be fixed!

I've experienced this issue of the hood glitching on my system. You do not need a mannequin to fix this issue. Simply remove the nightingale hood your character is wearing. Keep it in your inventory and save your game. Shut off your system completely after saving and exiting the game. Turn your system back on after it shuts off completely. Restart your game from the save point and put the hood on. The hood should appear black again when you equip it.

It seems that this has been a problem for many Skyrim players and this solution will usually work. On occasion the Nightingale hood will still be white but I suggest trying again. What you want to do is go to one of your Homes with a Mannequin in it, place the Nightingale hood on the Mannequin, save and then quit your game then shut down your system. Go back on and your hood will most likely be the "forged midnight" the guards refer to it as.

I've found something that works for me since I find turning off the system is a little time consuming. Take off the nightingale hood and leave it in ur inventory. Then fast travel away, when u get to where u traveled to put the hood back on. It fixed the problem of the white color for me.

I figured it would best to do two posts. As they are two issues. Thank you for fixing a lot of the clipping issues with the daggers and Asura. Short bows were a bit improved also however still major bug in my opinion. Further hurting the issue in the puffiness of the coats.

First off, great job fixing the severe clipping issues on the front skirt of the Phoenix armor. There are still a few more issues with it though, like severe clipping in the back of the skirt on the butt below the feathers. There are also red seams that are visible.

Issue: Clipping issue with Fractal capacitor (infused) and Corrupted Orrian Mantle. Fractal capacitor is hidden by the mantle. As you mentioned in your first post this belongs to the serious clipping issues category so please fix it!

Bone weight values differ from one skeleton to another. It doesn't matter if two skeletons both have butt and breast bones. Probably will have to clear the Parent and then Child the dress to the skeleton being used. The bone weight copy should work...unless the bone weights in the _0 mesh differ from the ones in the _1 mesh. That will cause clipping when the body scale is changed in-game; usually 00-50 work as intended. Clipping might start at 75 and be the worst at 100.

I try to convert your set to uunp hdt through outfit studio. In those images i only copy bone weight of belly breast and butt you know follow some tutorial. But after copy all others bone weight like shoulder, spine ect i have less clipping 2ff7e9595c
